Department of Health Website

Welcome!

In response to concerns raised by clinicians regarding shortages and surpluses of influenza vaccine that may occur in individual practices, the Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) has created the Hawaii Influenza Vaccine Exchange website. This website, accessible through http://vaxexchange.doh.hawaii.gov, provides a forum for healthcare providers practicing in Hawaii to exchange information regarding their influenza vaccine supply. Those healthcare providers who may have an excess of influenza vaccine and those who are in need of additional doses may post this information to facilitate the exchange of influenza vaccine between providers.

Healthcare providers utilizing this site must register by entering contact information (name, address, e-mail, medical license number, telephone number, etc.) and by creating a user name and password. It is the responsibility of the buyer and the seller to contact one another and make the necessary arrangements for any vaccine exchange. Providers using the site are expected to exchange any spare vaccine at cost as the site was not created to support ‘for profit’ transactions between providers. Once a transaction is completed, providers should adjust or remove any information regarding their vaccine supply or needs on the website.

Vaccines for Children (VFC) influenza vaccine is supplied by the Hawaii Immunization Program for VFC-eligible children only and should NOT be posted on this website or exchanged directly between providers. If you have a surplus of VFC influenza vaccine, please contact the VFC program at 586-8300.

The Hawaii Influenza Vaccine Exchange website is provided as a public service. The information listed by individual providers is not guaranteed by DOH and a posting does not constitute endorsement by DOH. Furthermore, DOH does not warrant or guarantee the influenza vaccine inventory exchanged between any two providers.
